Mask Synthetic Blood Penetration Tester

Application:

Synthetic Blood Penetration Tester evaluate the resistance of medical face masks to penetration by a splash of synthetic blood in high velocity.

Medical face masks speicmens are evaluated by the Blood Penetration Tester at three different velocities blood pressures of 10.6kPa, 16.0kPa and 21.3kPa.

 

Principle:

Medical face mask specimen is supported on Synthetic Blood Penetration Tester, a certain volume of synthetic blood is horizontally sprayed at the mask specimen to simulate a mask being splashed by blood. Test method of standard ASTM F1862 defines the volume of fluid, splash distance, orifice size and fluid impact velocity.
