Application:

Taber Abrasion Tester determines the resistance to abrasion of test specimen using the rotary platform by evaluating the damage degree of specimen surface, mass in loss and color change. It's applicable for textile, leather, rubber, plastic, coating products and others.

 

Test Method:

Taber Abrasion Tester abrades the specimen by using rotary rubbing under specified pressure and abrasive conditionns.

Mount test specimen on a turntable platform and turns on vertical axis, prevent sliding rotation of two abrasion wheels.

One abrasion wheel rubs the test specimen outward toward the cycle edge, and the other wheel inward toward the center.
